About This Spot

Walking into Bowling Supermarket on South Main Street in Belle Glade, you’re greeted by the warm hum of a place that’s part neighborhood staple, part bustling market. The pace feels unhurried, inviting a quiet exploration among aisles filled with fresh produce and familiar essentials. It’s the kind of spot where the welcoming scent of freshly baked Cuban bread lingers in the air, softly grounding the experience in local flavor and history.

Here, the atmosphere strikes a thoughtful balance between everyday convenience and cultural richness. Shoppers move with purpose yet seem to savor the moments spent selecting vibrant vegetables or chatting with friendly staff behind the meat counter, where fresh cuts are carefully tailored to individual needs. The variety available hints at a community woven from diverse backgrounds — a place that honors its local roots while embracing a variety of tastes.

Beyond the groceries, there’s a subtle sense of shared ritual. Whether it’s enjoying a simple, satisfying lunch in the adjoining café area or picking up ingredients to try something new at home, Bowling Supermarket feels like a steady companion in daily life. The space itself is unpretentious but warmly kept, echoing the practical rhythms and honest flavors that locals appreciate. It’s less about flash and more about genuine, grounded moments — where meals are nourished by thoughtfulness and connection.

For visitors passing through Belle Glade, this market offers an approachable glimpse into the everyday — a spot to gather not only groceries but a sense of place, shared both in the produce baskets and casual conversations. In that way, Bowling Supermarket stands as a quietly joyful discovery, comfortably nestled within the community it serves.

I have mixed feelings about this store. I do like the prices for veggies and some fruits. The choice of having your pick of your meats and quantity is a plus in the butcher/meat department. The packaged meats are fresh and reasonable. There is variety of produce available to appease most ethnicities and I love the Cuban bread that is baked daily and plentiful. Best tortillas ever in the restaurant bakery and you can get then in quantity and also fresh daily. The staff is pleasant and helpful. The prices beat any “meat plan” you see in other meat stores. The ground beef is so good... I have witnessed them grinding up roasts for the hamburger they sell by the pound. The can goods, sodas and shelf items are pricey.

Great Food at a great price…. Only reason why I’m not giving 5 starts is that it’s not a High end restaurant. It’s a cross with a supermarket and a cafeteria. But they sure have made the place looking really nice and very clean. Great breakfast place. Enjoy!

Always love coming to the carneciera or taqueria. Food tends to be fresher and more flavorful.. anyway, stopped for a steak bean and rice burrito.. asked for green salsa and got red and no sour cream.good prices and large portion. Worth $8 ..burrito still Good, hot and fresh..
